Golf Classic

The Annual Golf Classic took place in Mullingar Golf Club recently. It was a perfect day for golf with over 40 teams taking part. Well done to all who took part and many thanks to all our sponsors on the day! 

G.U.I Team Results;

1st with 98 points; Joe Bracken, Finbar Mc Carrick , Breege McCarrick, Paul Burke.

2nd on 96 pts; Aaron McCarthy, Darren Tyrell, Enda Lambden, Noel Bennett.

3rd in 94 pts; Aidan Mulligan, Joe Ryan, Shay Murtagh , Adam Smith. 49 pts in the back 9.

4th on 94 points. Dermot Mullen, Seamus Clarke, Ger McNamara, Bernard Smyth.

Underage Championships

Well done to our U16 and Minor boys who both recorded impressive championship wins last week. The U16 lads hosted Garrycastle while the minor lads hosted Tyrrellspass. Both teams clocked up high scores and its hoped they can build on these performances for their next outings.

Wallace Waste Solutions

Many thanks to Wallace Waste Solutions for their kind sponsorship of our U12 Girls ahead of their championship campaign. Michael Wallace and Sarah Mc Cormick were in Lakepoint Park on Wednesday evening last to present a fantastic set of jerseys. Best of luck to the girls in their upcoming championship!

Championship Games

The Senior and Junior Mens championships get underway this week! The Juniors have two games in a week where they travel to Killucan this Tuesday 17^th with a 7.30pm throw in. They then travel to the Downs on Tuesday 24^th with that game also a 7.30pm start. 

The Seniors begin their championship defence V The Downs this Sunday 22^nd in Cusack Park at 7.30pm. Best of luck to players and management in their campaigns!

 

General Meeting

A General Meeting for all club members takes place on Wednesday July 25^th in the clubhouse at 8.30pm. All members are asked to attend!

Lotto

There was no jackpot winner from the lotto draw on July 5^th. The numbers drawn were 7,8,9,22. Winners of €50 each were Ml Clinton, Oliver Murtagh, Oliver Moore and Ollie Gallagher.

There was also no jackpot winner from the lotto draw on July 12^th. The numbers drawn were 1,13,15,19. Winners of €50 each were Megan Quinn, Olive Mangan, Gerry Mc Govern and Marian Mc Manus. Next weeks jackpot will be €4,300.
