St Lomans Mullingar 5. 07  Goldsmiths 2.05

St Lomans U12 girls qualified for the A championship final with a thrilling victory over goldsmiths on Thursday September 7th in Lakepoint Park. With conditions difficult St Lomans settled quickly with points from Paige Matthews, Rachel McKenna and Caoimhe Kilmurray. However superb play from Lisa Seery and Emma Tumelty ensured Goldsmiths kept in touch. A superb goal from Rachel 

McKenna put St Lomans 1.05 to 0.03 ahead at half time.

The second half started with Abbey Norris dominating midfield and a great move involving Ashling Granahan and Lucia Weir resulted in Maebh O Hara sending the ball to the net. Goldsmiths attacked in response but Katie Shaw, Ava Maleady and Niamh McKenna defended well. The following ten minutes were all about Caoimhe Kilmurray as she added three goals to finish the game as a contest. Goldsmith responded with a goal but Sophie Boyd who had moved outfield from goal defended well and St Lomans booked their place in the final.

Others to impress were Lucy Haynes, Lara Mc Cartan, Alysia Brown, and Aoibhe Hogan.
