St Lomans Mullingar 7.15 Castledaly 0.16


St Lomans won the penultimate round of the Division 1 League in fine style on Tuesday evening last against Castledaly in Lakepoint Park. A clear evening along with the game played on the 3G pitch ensured a fast paced sixty minutes with the blues in clinical mood scoring seven goals. 


A blistering start saw St Lomans score 3.05 in the first thirteen minutes with the visitors struggling to live with the swift moves from the blues. John Heslin opened the scoring with a goal after linking up with Shane Flynn and Ciaran Kilmurray. He added a free soon after. Paddy Dowdall kicked a point after a great solo from his own half. David Windsor fisted to the net on the eighth minute after a great Ronan O Toole catch started the move with Ciaran Kilmurray once again been involved. Kilmurray was rewarded soon after with a goal of his own. Ken Casey and Shane Dempsey(2) both kicked points capping some wonderful play. 


The game settled into more of a contest in the second quarter with Castledaly kicking nine points with their talisman Lorcan Dolan on target for much of these. Ciaran Kilmurray added St Lomans fourth goal while David Windsor and Ronan O Toole points stretched St Lomans lead to eleven points as the half time whistle blew.


St Lomans quenched any hopes of a comeback from Castledaly early in the second half with John Heslin, Ciaran Kilmurray and Ronan O Toole adding further points. The away side battled hard but their points were all matched with scores from the impressive Ronan O Toole. Shane Dempsey buried in St Lomans fifth goal while O Toole added a goal to his tally fisting to the net after been set up by substitute Billy O Loughlin.  


O Loughlin got the final say of the game when a Ken Casey pass found its way to him and Billy made no mistake to register the blues seventh goal.

St Lomans Mullingar 4.26 Tang 1.08

St Lomans recorded their second high scoreline in a week with a win away to Tang on Friday last. Goals from David Windsor, Ciaran Kilmurray, Ken Casey and Ronan O Toole were the foundation of a strong win.


St Lomans made a fast start with Kiernan Lynam kicking two points, the second of these came from great work from Gary Glennon and Fola Ayorinde. Ken Casey and Ronan O Toole scores cancelled out points from the home side. St Lomans continued to clock up the scores throughout the half with a few  classy moves in the lead up to many of these. Ciaran Kilmurray, David Whelan, David Windsor, Billy O Loughlin and man of the match contender Fola Ayorinde all raised the white flag. Goals soon followed with Ciaran Kilmurray and David Windsor adding to their tallies as the blues had a strong half time lead.


Further scores early in the second half left the result in no doubt. Kieran Lynam and Ken Casey were point scorers before Casey added St Lomans third goal. Ronan O Toole added St Lomans fourth goal finishing off a fine move involving Billy O Loughlin, Ciaran Kilmurray and David Windsor. Late points from Billy O Loughlin(3), David Whelan(2), Garrett Hickey and James Cox sealed an impressive win for St Lomans.

Lotto


There was no jackpot winner from the lotto draw on May 24th. The numbers drawn were 9,17,19,26. Winners of €50 each were Sean Kiernan, Lisa Barr, Gaga and Joe Glennon. Next week’s Jackpot will be €2,200

Cumann Na nBunscol


The club was well represented in the Cumann Na nBunscol finals in Cusack Park with mixed results for some of the schools. Congratulations to Curraghmore both boys and girls who won their respective finals! Well done to all our Academy Stars who took part across the week!


Club Grounds Clean Up


A Clean up of the Club Grounds takes place next Tuesday June 6th at 7pm. All help from our members would be greatly appreciated. Please bring any tools, brushes, Strimmers or any gardening equipment you may have! Refreshments will be served afterwards!
