Street League:

After four thrilling weeks, the grand finale of this year’s Street League takes place on Wednesday evening at 6pm. This is an event not to be missed and we would encourage all club members to drop in and have a look at our young stars in action! It really is the most family-friendly, enjoyable event in our calendar.

Under 12 Girls:

St Loman’s 2-7 The Downs 3-3

Our U12 White team travelled to The Downs on Monday evening and came away with a well-earned 1 point win. Loman’s were a little slow out of the blocks, and two quick goals for the home side gave them an early advantage. Although, Loman’s soon began to dominate all over the field, and a goal just before half time had the deficit down to a point at the break.

Our girls started the 2nd half brightly with points from Shannon Breslin (2) and Maddie Mulderry put us two points in front. However, back came the Downs with their 3rd goal of the game to re-take the lead. With the game in the balance, the Loman’s girls really dug deep, fighting for every ball. Then with 4 minutes to go, up stepped Shannon Breslin to hit a cracking shot to the net to give St Loman’s a deserved win.

Leinster Track and Field Finals:

Well Done to Ross Killalea and Adam Brady who last week represented St Mary’s CBS in the Leinster track and field finals. Both under 14 boys, they reached their finals and Ross was crowned 800 meter Leinster champion.

Cumann na mBunscoil:

Well done to all of our academy players who competed in the Cumann na Mbunscoil football and hurling finals in Cusack Park over the course of last week. St Loman’s were represented by several schools with some coming out on the winning side and some finishing as runners up in their respective matches. Regardless, every player did themselves, their school and their clubs proud.

Joe Matthews under 10 Memorial Cup:

One of the clubs biggest events is coming up on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd June - the 6th Annual Joe Matthews under 10 Memorial Cup. This year we have 20 teams from across Westmeath coming to Lakepoint Park (10am-3pm). We are looking for volunteers to help on the day - no previous experience required. Help with car-parking, umpiring, refreshments and score-keeping would be appreciated.
