Under 14 Féile Final:

St Loman’s 0.07 Lilliput Gaels 0.08

At 9.25pm on Friday night, in the fading light at Cusack Park. A converted free in the 6th minute of injury time by Lilliput Gaels forward Peter Murphy was the difference, as our under 14 heroes lost out in the Féile final. It was a fantastic exhibition of football, with little between both sides.

Congratulations to Lilliput Gaels and best of luck to both teams as they go forward to the national Féile finals in late June in Galway.

Under 12 Girls:

Well done to St Loman’s U12 Girls Blue team, who had a comfortable win over Mullingar Shamrocks on Monday evening, to maintain their 100% record. Our under 12 Girls White team also recorded a hard-fought win over Loughnavalley in Lakepoint Park on Tuesday evening. In a real cracker of a game, both sides attacked relentlessly. St Loman’s were 4 points down at half time. However, 3 second half goals from Cliona McGinley saw Loman’s come out on top on a final score line of 4-2 to 3-2.

While Cliona was grabbing the headlines up front, great credit must go to defence, in which Anna Sheehy, Lauren McCormack and Bailey Casey stood out. While a brilliant 2nd half save from Molly McGrath ensured that Loman’s managed to keep their noses in front at the end.

Credit Union Reward:

Thanks to Aoife Davitt for accepting a €500 reward on our behalf from the Mullingar Credit Union Social and Cultural Committee this evening! Also big Thanks to Mullingar Credit Union for the reward.
