ACL Division 5

St Lomans Mullingar 2.15 Castledaly 1.16

St. Lomans dug very deep to secure two valuable league points in Castledaly on Saturday evening last.

The hosts were 5 points ahead and seemed to be cruising with less than 5 mins remaining but spurred on by a great Dano Fitzsimons penalty-save earlier on St. Lomans rallied with an unanswered 1-4, to secure a thoroughly deserved 2-point victory.

In what was an open game of football, all six St. Lomans backs were excellent over the sixty minutes, typified by corner-back Tristian Johnson popping up late in the game with an excellent point from play.

Gerry Farrell, Ollie Plunkett and Johnny Brady all played fine games up front. James Cox and Chris Gilbert were excellent and contributed sixteen points in total, while Sam McCartan and Paddy Lynam were also impressive in attack.

Team; Dano Fitzsimons, Jack Tyrrell, Senan Russell (C), Tristian Johnson (0-1), Tristian Graham, James Murray, Adam Carroll, Sean Regan, Chris Gilbert (2-2), Sam McCartan (0-2), Paddy Lynam, Ollie Plunkett (0-1), Johnny Brady, James Cox (0-8), Gerry Farrell (0-1).

ACL Division 3

St Lomans hosted Ballinagore in The Division 3 League in Lakepoint Park on Friday night last as they secured another important win on a scoreline of 1.11 to 2.07.
